In ensuring that Justice, equity and fairness is achieved in our society, DEC Enugu women's rights unit carried out an advocacy and consultation/dialogue forum at Ibaji local government area of Kogi state on 19th March, 2022. The forum had in attendance 65 traditional rulers, vice chairman Ibaji local government, leader Ibaji local government legislative council, 407 women and their group leaders and other stakeholders. The forum gave opportunity for the men to strongly give their commitment to ensure that the rights of women in their local government is not compromised especially in the area of inclusive governance. Currently, the vice chairman and the leader of the legislative council are all women.
