My Name is Mall. Unubi Sani I am 50 years old, hailed from Gudu Apaa-Area of (Uwowo Ogbogbo Community in Igalamela/odolu L.G.A of Kogi State.
I’m married with 2 children, I’m a farmer in occupation but shifted to become a drummer 8 years ago as a result of this Hienia prostration since I can no longer do any hard job. The communities’ people know me as a best drummer for any festival celebration.
I couldn’t knew my case will be very serious of this nature until I started using extra-large in all my wears, and people gave me nick name of load carrier (Agbero) despite no power to carry physical load. Both boys and girls ask me question which day will you offload? I tried all I can to many hospitals but my problems is financial. I cannot afford to pay a bill and my families don’t care for me.
One night in our village the town crier announced the coming of the Development Education Centre (DEC) Enugu for Medical outreach on 19th October, 2022. The second day I came late a bit but, doctor attended to me to my surprise, the prostrate escape or vanished, and the doctor only gave me medicine.
After using the drug, the pain became terrible that I could not bear it. I went to the private clinic and they told me to bring One Hundred Thousand Naira (#100,000) only while I was kobo less it was there my messiah came for visitation to other people, Mr. Francis. M. Uhiene (C.D.O) Officer DEC he began to interview me until I told him the whole stories that there is no money.
To cut the story short, it was one faithful morning 1st /12/2022 Mr. Francis. M. Uhiene (C.D.O) Dec Enugu Looking for me.
He told me how Executive Director Dr. Cecilia U. Asogwa has been doing this humanitarian services on women empowerment of women inclusive governance, structure, skill acquisition, health, etc. was vividly explained.
Then he told me to follow him to general hospital idah on the 2nd of December, 2022. We went and series of test is conducted and the doctor told me to come back for the operation on the 5th of December, 2022.
Honestly speaking the C.D.O told me that the DEC Enugu has paid all the bills for that operation. On 5th of December, 2022, the operation was successfully carried out. I came to know that truly, (DEC) Development Education Centre Enugu has wipe away my tears and nick name.
I thank God Almighty, E.D Dr. Cecilia U. Asogwa and entire staff for the job well done , and I promise that as long as I live to drum every places in my communities, must hear this, that (DEC) Development Education Centre Enugu has offloaded that load.
